Check out this video put together by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation and let everyone you know (especially those in Thurston County) that the Thurston County No Shooting Zone Ordinance is being pushed on us by three very biased anti-hunting anti-shooting county commissioners. Incidentally, two of them are coming up for election this year! This ordinance prohibits shooting in the marine waters within 300 yards from the county shoreline and it prohibits shooting on ANY land parcel that is zoned 2 houses per acre or higher density, regardless of whether there are houses present or not. AND, if you want to shoot on your property that is zoned this way, for each distinct day or set of days (it is unclear in the ordinance) that you want to shoot, you would have to apply (and PAY) for a permit, have a public hearing in front of a County hearings board, and REGISTER the guns you are going to use with the county.

Send emails to the county commissioners at:

Don Krupp - County Manager -kruppd@co.thurston.wa.us
    Commissioner Romero - RomeroS@co.thurston.wa.us
    Commissioner Wolfe - Wolfec@co.thurston.wa.us
    Commissioner Valenzuela - valenzk@co.thurston.wa.us
