    Ted Lundeen was a local old timer who had a small boat ferry service for duck h hunters across Freshwater Slough from his place to the Island maintained by WDFW.Five bucks.Located just north of the Skagit WDFW  Headquarters.Thousands of hunters used this service throughout the years.The dike and several duck shacks are still there.

    I'm surprised nobody responded to my forum message with stories.Wonder why.

    That's a cool story.  I don't know why you didn't get any responses either.  We should encourage our chapter members to post more often here.  It is a nice place to chat and share information.

    I agree this inner club forum could be a very useful and informative method of 

    passing on info and opinions.Maybe Rick Holt [Newly elected Pres]is aware of this forum and will get on board.Thanks Matt.Maybe a new post and article in newsletter may kindle a use????
